Also, over the weekend I went back to my hometown for my
friends baby’s christening. Wow. What a christening that was! I don’t even know
what religion the church was but I know for sure I am never, and I mean NEVER
going back to that church! It was the weirdest ceremony I have ever been to in
my life! Everything about it was just creepy. The priest/vicar/man got members
of the congregation to come up to the front and circle the parents and child
and pray for them, it was very very strange. Pray for the child yes, but there
is no need to circle them in such a ritualistic way! I would not want my child
being circled like that in a religious place. It was very worrying. I have
nothing against religion, I myself am a catholic, but this was some whole other
level. I asked the father of the baby, after the ceremony, what religion the
church was and even he didn’t know which does not give off a very good
impression!
So apart from strange christenings and job interviews what
else have I been doing? Well I have been working for the Student Ambassadors
for my University quite a lot as that is my part-time job. However there are
not many things to do over the summer which is not very good which is why I am
looking for more jobs. Pay day in 6 days which is exciting! I am looking
forward to this month’s pay so much! I’m going to be minted!
Also, I have been planning lots for my future business and
have sorted out a questionnaire I am asking people in the surrounding area to
fill out and quite a few people have got back to me to say they are willing to
help me out! I am surprised by the amount actually, I have over 40 volunteers
which will be such a big help!
That is all I am going to write for now. So, speak soon the
lovely readers of my blog (if in fact there is anyone actually reading this)
Have a nice day!
